June 13
Cassie's coming home from New York. I'm pretty sure I saw her plane. Either that or there was some other crazy lady waving out the window from that high in the air.
June 11
I'm in love with this card. I've been waiting to give it to the perfect person and today it hit me - Madison! It's so perfect it's funny.
June 10
The VBS kickoff. Definitely not the most serious set we've played or best, but it was fun. I especially enjoyed messing with Bill. I know he took just as much pleasure in returning the fun.
June 8
Cornelius and DeShawn with their little cousin. These two taught me more this week then I ever would have expected, especially DeShawn. They were awesome and I will miss them. They fit in so well to our group, I just wish they would show up to the coffee house next week.
June 7
Amy, Lauren, DeShawn, Makenzie, Cornelius, Jackson (who looks a bit like Shrek with green in his hair), Kacey, Kelsey and Logan. The best JUMMP work team ever. I was so proud of everything they got done.
June 6
Aww... good friends. This was before everyone cleared out when Patrick started farting and scratching his butt. No one would have posed for a picture with him then.
June 5
I've never done siding before and I was VERY nervous, but we knocked it out! Actually of all the things we did, I think that ended up looking the best. For sure better than some of our painting.
June 4
Makenzie begs to be photo of the day. She is on my work team for JUMMP. I guess putting up with me for that long gets her at least one photo of the day nod. Here you go Kenz.
June 3
We are at JUMMP! How was he voted most popular again? Oh... I guess he didn't get best hair so it works.
June 2
Madison has been great. We are having fun. Today we worked on planning the JR/SR retreat. We are going to Austin.
June 1
Priscilla's Birthday is today. She is the children's intern and doing me a huge favor by watching Cooper while I'm at JUMMP. She will be ticked because there was a perfectly normal picture taken, but this is the one I choose to use. My blog, my choice.
May 31
I went in to Grapevine to buy one CD and spent over $100. Now I have a stack of books at home and a stack of books at work to read and I'm still in John of the Bible.
May 30
Youth are still crazy after being out of school a few days. Makenzie won the Spring Game above all Games for coming to the most youth events. No big surprise. She calls it bonding time and has some analogy about her being a cowboy hat and me being a bandana. I'm not sure I get it but it is cool that she won.
May 28
The last part of the lock out we played Ultimate and it had rained the night before. Everyone left looking like this. It was disgusting.
May 26
I know this is a cop out. Believe it or not I did not actually take this picture of Shrek. I did go see the movie though. Kendall was suppose to come and he ended up not which was a bummer. The movie was okay. I am just glad I don't have children because I might go insane if I only saw animated movies in the theater.
May 25
We cleaned out Cassie's classroom and found all sorts of cool teacher gifts. And by cool I mean lame. I'm sure glad no one gives apples to youth directors.
May 24
This is from the lock out, but this was the last day of school and the kids were crazy this entire week. I'm sure their teachers were happy to be done, but I could have used another week.
May 23
We have been playing disc golf at church for about 2 years now, maybe more. We always wondered what would happen when someone hit those lanterns. The fateful day arrived- I hit it. This is what happened. Luckily we have a new business manager who just laughed at me.
May 22
It is certainly good to have Madison back on staff. Our bulletin boards have never looked better. That isn't the only reason, she is a stud, but it sure helps.
May 21
Patrick got the Buccaneer Spirit Award. He suited up for the occasion. It was pretty funny because all the students were calling his name before they ever announced he got it.
May 20
Our last night of SNL. It was great and sad and fun and bittersweet. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to be in leadership with that service for as long as I did.
May 19
When we went to presite for UMARMY in Canton we found this: One in Three Trinity Energy Drink fused with the fruits of the spirit. Evidently it is made with fruits from the Holy Land, but it is canned in Southlake, TX so I have questions. I think I'm going to start a collection of rediculous Christian crap.

May 18
The summer is planned. All is good. I like it. I hope we will use the moons gravity to have a great fall. I'm sure this master plan along with my match making skills will succeed in total youth group domination. I am special... and a bit tired. No lie.
